Business services, scored
Rankings you can check, not just read.
Most “best of” lists ask you to trust a number nobody explains. We publish the criteria, the weights and the raw review counts behind every score — so if you disagree with our ranking, you can recompute it yourself.
Why another ranking site?
Because the big ones won’t show you their work. Scores get presented as fact, the formula stays private, and the useful part sits behind a subscription. We went the other way on all three.
Typical review sites
- Weighting factors kept confidential
- Full scores behind a paywall
- Review counts rolled into one number
- Sponsored entries mixed into the ranking
- No way to reproduce the result
snyp.io
- Every weight printed on the page
- Complete table, free, no account
- Per-platform ratings and counts shown
- Nothing paid for placement, ever
- Arithmetic you can redo by hand
Current ranking
Bookkeeping services
The deepest ranking on the site: 100 providers researched, 45 with enough verifiable review data to score.
Best Bookkeeping Services 2026
Scores combine review evidence across every platform we could verify — weighted by volume, penalised when platforms disagree — with pricing transparency, how easily you can take your books elsewhere, business stability and service scope.
Providers with too little verifiable review data are listed but deliberately left unscored, rather than given a flattering guess.
Read the rankingScores out of 5. Review counts are totals across every platform we verified.
The formula
What the score is made of
Five criteria, fixed weights, applied identically to every provider. No category is adjusted after the fact to produce a preferred winner.
Review evidence
Ratings across every platform we can verify, weighted by volume and penalised when platforms disagree.
Pricing transparency
Whether real prices are published, or you have to sit through a sales call to learn them.
Data portability
How easily you can leave and take clean books with you.
Business stability
Years operating, funding pressure, complaint history and layoff or pivot risk.
Service scope
What is actually included before the upsell begins.
Categories
What we cover
One category is finished. The rest are being built with the same method — we would rather publish one ranking properly than eight badly.

Things we will tell you that we would rather not
A ranking is only worth reading if the limits are stated as plainly as the results.
- 55 of the 100 bookkeeping providers are unscored. We could not verify enough review data to score them fairly, so they are listed without a number instead of being guessed at.
- Review volume helps, and that favours older firms. A genuinely excellent provider with 6 reviews will score below a good one with 300. We show the counts so you can judge that yourself.
- Where platforms disagree, we subtract points. A provider rated 4.8 on one site and 2.9 on another gets penalised for the inconsistency, which is arguably harsh on firms with one bad channel.
- Nobody paid for placement, and no provider was told its position in advance. If that ever changes, this box changes with it.
